Farrokh Bulsara was born on September 5, 1964 in Gujarati, Stone Town, Zanzibar Hospital, on the island of Zanzibar, then a British protectorate and currently part of Tanzania, at a distance of 25 km from the coast of Tanganyika, on September 5 of 1946. His parents, Bomi and Jer Bulsara, were Parsis from the Gujarat region, part of the Bombay Presidency in British India.
