Description:

Within the community of Puritans living in America, very few of them were kind to the Native Americans living near them. Many of them viewed the surrounding Native Americans as an obstacle and did not want to convert them. In 1636, individuals from the Pequot tribe began disputing with the Puritans about the control of fur trading. Their disputed turned to violence, and one member of the Pequots killed an English fur trader. From there, the war broke out and by 1637, almost the entirety of the Pequot tribe was killed.
