Today, I decided to buy a Christmas present at Masonville Place. Although the mall itself, owned by Cadillac Fairview, is a Canadian company, most of the stores inside the mall are from other countries, and have expanded due to globalization. My shopping habits and decisions are impacted by the many different types of stores in the mall. Due to competition from foreign brands, I as a consumer can chose to buy cheaper products from American companies rather than shop on Richmond Street where many local businesses are located.
