1 janv. 1000 - Neo-Confucianism
Description:
Neo-Confucianism under the Song and later dynasties was a response to rising interest in Buddhism and sought to promote and evolve traditional values. Unlike Buddhism, it emphasized moral and social responsibility and considered humans to be innately good. It also focused on universal sagehood. The symbol means li, or principle - one of the main tenets of neo-Confucianism.
