Description:

First identified case of ebola was in Africa in 1976

Symptoms:

Day 7-9
-first symptoms
-fever, fatigue, headache, muscle soreness

Day 10
-Sudden high fever, vomiting blood, passive behavior

Day 11
-Bruising, brain damage, bleeding from nose, mouth, eyes, anus

Day 12
-Final Stages
-loss of consciousness, seizures, massive internal bleeding, death
-up to 90% fatal if untreated

Treatment:
-avoid close contact with infected individuals and animals
-protective clothing
-no specific vaccine or treatment
-supportive care

History:
-1976 the first case was reported
-2014 the WHO declared it an international emergency
