Description:
About seven thousand Parisian marketplace women entered the Palace of Versailles, killing guards while in search of Queen Marie Antoinette. The intervention of the Marquis de Lafayette and the National Guard saved the royal family, which acquiesced to the women's demands and moved to Paris.
