Description:

The Kuomintang is China's nationalist party that was founded by Sun Yat-sen shortly after founding the Republic of China. The Kuomintang focused on the "Three Principles of the People", which were democracy, nationalism, and economy (socialism). In 1923-24, the Soviet Union agreed to help Sun's party if they allied with the newly formed Communist Party of China, and in need of help, Sun agreed, and the two parties began to share members.
