Description:

It was the Court Case that overturned Plessy v. Ferguson and declared that "separate was inherently unequal." Ruling was unanimous Oliver Brown filed a class-action suit against Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas. This was because Oliver Brown was upset when his daughter Linda Brown was denied access to an all white elementary school. An effect was that it made legal segregation of public schools unconsitutional.
