Description:
Cyril and Methodius were missionaries sent from Constantinople to King Rostislav of Moravia at his request. They knew the slavic language, and created the Cyrillic alphabet in order to translate the Bible into Slavic. After controversy, the Pope ruled in favor of their translation.
