1 janv. 1200 av. J.-C. - Fu Hao

Description:

Fu Hao was one of the many wives of King Wu Ding and she had one of the most complete Shang burial sites. Fu Hao was buried around 1200 BCE with hundreds of artifacts, as well as the sacrificial skeletons of sixteen people and six dogs. This was important because the discovery of her tomb helped bring to life a woman whose existence had been otherwise not well known. The artifacts also shed light on Shang technology and material culture, court life, and especially the position of women among the aristocracy. The inscriptions from her tomb also showed that Fu Hao had wielded considerable power and influence even before becoming Wu Ding's principal wife.
