While grabbing a drink at the Nix Hound Inn in Mournhold, a mysterious Breton man eyes Gondul at the bar, offering to pay for his next drink. Gondul politely declined the offer.

While continuing on to their respective meals, the two men conversed for awhile, moving away from the bar and over to the fire. Once finished eating, the conversation came to a close and Gondul said his farewells.

Before he could exit the door, however, the Breton said his name aloud, claiming he came to the Nix Hound for more important reasons.

He claimed that Kynareth had led him to Gondul, for reasons unbeknownst to him. Gondul was taken aback by this claim, of course — but he humored the man with a question.

He asked whether or not a Brotherband was involved in Kyanreth's guidance. The man affirmed this.

Though skeptical, Gondul knew he lacked man power, and the man seemed to be a noble soul. Gondul and the Breton man stepped away from the crowd, walking down to the dusty cellar beneath the inn, where the man gave his name — Lucian.

Having him kneel before him, Gondul tapped the man's shoulders with his axe, recruiting him into the Ruby Brotherband.
