Ralph Goodale, minister responsible for Indian residential schools resolution, and leaders of the Anglican Church from across Canada approves an agreement to compensate victims with legal claims of sexual and physical abuse at Anglican-run residential schools. Together they agree the Canadian government will pay 70 per cent of the compensation and the Anglican Church of Canada will pay 30 per cent, to a maximum of $25 million.

Ralph Goodale, PC MP (born October 5, 1949) is Canada's Minister of Public Safety in the present Cabinet, headed by Justin Trudeau. He was Canada's Minister of Finance from 2003 to 2006, and leader of the Saskatchewan Liberal Party from 1981 to 1988.
