Description:
- Day 333- Lilly wakes up in the morning feeling refreshed. She arrives at the diner where most of the elderly residents are already settled. They greet her and she feels like people are relived that the Governor's tyranny is over. Lilly tells them her idea and an hour later everyone gathers in the racetrack.
- Lilly reads off the names of everyone they have lost over the last few months with short moments of silence between each. She invites everyone down into the field and they commence the final part of their ritual. Everyone helps to dismantle all evidence of the arena fights, where people at one time would beat each other to near death. A group of the younger men go down below the racetrack to kill the captive biters. They clean up the halls, remove blood stains and collect scattered weapons.
- People start to lighten up, they talk to each other in positive tones, some even crack jokes. People almost seem happy. Almost.
