Description:

- Day 332
- By dusk, Lilly secures the town. The wounded are taken to the infirmary and alleys cleared of lurkers. Lilly makes a quick announcement in the town square, everyone should take a quick break and then meet in the community room in the courthouse in an hour.
- The twenty-five residents of Woodbury (six women, fourteen men, and five children) not counting Speed, Matthew or Bob gather in the courthouse and listen to what Lilly has to say. She gently tells them everything. Bob walks past outside and lingers for a while. Lilly already briefly told him everything and he knows that he'll support her throughout this. Lilly however doesn't know about Philip's final request or the secret inhabitant of his apartment room. He watches the faces of some of the residents. They asks questions and show signs of hope for a better future. He takes his box of parts up to the Governor's apartment.
- Lilly gently tells everyone that they've gotten used to living under a dictatorship. She asks to be the leader of Woodbury, with the permission and support of the town. Half the room's hands shoot up, the Sterns' the highest of all. The other's look around and raise theirs too until the whole room is in support of Woodbury's new leader.
- That night, sleep comes hard. Lilly wakes up in the middle of the night several times to pee and notices Austins' belongings scattered throughout the apartment. She packs them away and has a good long cry before going back to bed. She comes up with a nice idea for something they should do in the morning.
