29 mars 1806 - Creation of the national road
Description:
This road connected Cumberland, Maryland to the Ohio River. The congress authorized the construction of the road in 1806 and president Jefferson signed the act establishing it as the national road. In 1811 the first contract was awarded and the first 10 miles of road built.Ajouté au bande de temps:
