5 h 30 min, 15 juin 2004 ans - Austin executes his insane plan and sacrifices himself for the group. (The Fall of the Governor: Part 2)

- Day 332
- Lilly and the other five Woodbury soldiers wait for Austin to fire off his first gunshot. Half an hour ago Lilly and Austin argued over his insane plan, eventually he broke down into tears and insisted that he has to do it because he's always been a coward and will never be able to redeem himself for it, Lilly is the only girl he has ever loved. Now they wait until he fires off the first shot. Once he does Lilly starts counting up to two minutes, bracing herself for when they have to go out.
- Austin takes out a few walkers and pushes his way through a cluster of them by the fence. When he gets outside a biter clamps onto his ankle in the tall grass. He can't shake it off and knows that this isn't about killing them, its about luring them away. He powers on, blood oozing out of his leg, he makes it quite far with the three-hundred or so walkers following him north. He lures them away from the vehicles outside the prison whilst thinking about the last thing Lilly said to him. "I will never stop living you". He screams at the biters to come and eat him. Alas he gets far enough away that his mission is complete.
- The six Woodbury soldiers sneak out the prison onto the exercise yard. Lilly cant see Austin anywhere. There aren't many walkers left roaming and Matthew dispatches a handful of them as they get to the fence. They reach Lilly's truck with the door still open and keys in the ignition. Gloria kills a biter and pulls it out the passenger side. The four men climb in the back and Lilly notices a gory feeding frenzy in her peripheral vision off to the north. She tells everyone not to look.
- The truck pulls off and drives away onto the highway just as a few walkers begin to notice. Lilly keeps telling herself not to look but accidentally spots the frenzy in the side mirror. Gloria is shocked and ashamed at what they let happen to Austin.
