14 févr. 1870 - 1870 The french lose in the Franco-Prussian war leading to France paying out huge amounts of war reparations. this lead to the creation of the newly formed German Empire who would rapidly industrialise and begin forming a new National identity, thus leading to the unbalancing of power on the European continent.
