Description:
The system suffered greatly after Diocletian and Maximian retired. Constantine, the son of Constantius, emerged from a power struggle as the sole emperor of Rome, and reunified of the empire in 324 AD. He moved the capital from Rome to the Greek city of Byzantium, and renamed it Constantinople.
