12 h 20 min, 14 juin 2004 ans - Hershel and Alice are killed, Lilly kills Lori, Judith and the Governor, the prison is ruined. (Issue 48)

Description:

- Day 331
- Rick, his family and Alice sneak outside the prison. Rick spots Hershel on his knees besides Billy's body. He calls out for him to go but Hershel tells him to leave him there. The Governor points out where they are and Rick gets Lori and Carl to run, Alice tells them she'll join them in a second and starts wildly firing off shots from behind the door. The soldiers open fire on her and a bullet takes out her knee. sending her to the ground. She fires one last shot killing a soldier right next to the Governor before he kicks her gun out her hand. Philip points his Tec-9 to her head and pulls the trigger, executing her.
- The Governor orders one of the soldiers, Lilly Caul, to open fire on the Grimes family. Rick tells Carl to slow down because Lori can't keep up, suddenly Lori's back and stomach explodes from a rifle shot and she cripples to the ground, falling on top of Judith who was cradled in her arms. Rick stops for a moment, paralysed... He continues on in tears and tells Carl to keep running. He redirects him away from the truck and towards a gap in the fence where the first roamers are starting to come through. They narrowly escape the prison.
- The Governor orders everyone to stop shooting at them because the biters will get them for sure. He approaches the group in disbelief that nobody has killed Hershel yet. One of the soldiers tells him that he surrendered. Hershel Greene begs the Governor to kill him. Philip points his Tec-9 to his head and waits for a moment before executing Hershel.
- Lilly approaches the body of Lori Grimes in tears. Philip asks her what her problem is and she calls him a monster. Furious, he asks her to repeat herself. She screams at him to look at what he made her do and for the first time, the Governor sees the consequences of his actions. Lilly slams the butt of her rifle into his face, sending him to the floor and wedges the barrel deep into his throat. She stands there for an endless moment. Some of the soldiers beg her not to kill him.
- Biters approach and get dangerously close. The group gets themselves together and the Governor hits Lilly to the ground with her own gun. He panics, telling the group that they can rebuild the fences whilst yelling at the voice in his head to shut up. Lilly begins to run towards the others before turning around, raising her pistol and shooting the Governor in the back of the head, blowing his one eye out.
- Philip Blake remains semi-concision and lets out a garbled scream. Lilly kicks him into the approaching herd of biters who devour him and tear into his face. She takes control of the group and leads them away, towards the inside of the prison.
- Meriwether County Correctional Facility is overrun by the walking dead. Rick and Carl make it a safe distance away from the prison. Carl asks where his mom and sister are. Rick stops him from running back and they hug as roamers approach them...
