30 oct. 2018 - Given negative EPAP narrative
but received fully satisfactory
Description:
I was given my EPAP for the year yesterday. I received a fully satisfactory in all of my categories. There were 3 categories I was evaluated for. In a previous meeting (9/27/18) I was told I would be evaluated for being a COR, which was incorrect as that was not originally a part the performance criteria I was given when I hired on. The 3 categories were the following:
1) Subject matter expert on, which originally included SCADA, unit protection, and all associated instrumentation. This was changed to include waste/domestic water, station service (2300 and 480 VAC Systems), electrical side of the generator, CO2 system controls, fire alarm system, UPS battery system, and emergency generators.
2) Complete assigned projects in a timely manner including design, development of plans, specifications, estimates, and PR: including new flow meters and vibration monitoring
3) Establish and maintain a sense of teamwork and professionalism
When I walked into my supervisor’s office she said I was rated fully successful, but I still had things to work and still needed to learn my systems. I read through the comments that were made regarding my performance. While I received fully successful I had very negative remarks on my EPAP. The biggest concern being that I brought in union representation to the meetings. Other comments included the fact that I did not work overtime to install VFDs. Overtime is not required. I told my supervisor I thought I needed to ask for approval. She was not at the plant at the time so I could not even ask her. She said well you could have asked. My boss was not there that day and because it seemed like was being targeted for not showing up or leaving on time I have become increasingly uncomfortable asking for leave. I also asked my co-worker if he needed me to stay late that day and he said no. My boss did not relay that to me during the time of the VFD install.
