30 mars 1870 - The Fifteenth Amendment was ratified.

Description:

This amendment ensured the right to vote to every United States citizen regardless of "race, color, or previous servitude." Because of this amendment, it was made illegal to deny any citizen the right to vote, which, yet again, promised African Americans their rights. When reading this timeline, you're probably thinking, "What!? Why are all these amendments and bills being passed about the same thing!?" It is because the majority of the United States was immensely racist and it was near impossibe to ensure the rights of African Americans. So, the ratification of this amendment was excellent news too to the people supporting reconstruction!
