7 janv. 1819 - Adams-Onis Treaty

Description:

Between 1806 and 1819, no nation occupied the Neutral Ground, which meant that criminals or anyone could legally live there. In 1819, America and Spain signed the Adams-Onis Treaty which ended the boundary dispute. Spain gave Florida to America and agreed to have Sabine River as the boundary of Texas. In return, the United States surrendered all claims to Texas, the Neutral Ground was now U.S. territory.
