5 déc. 1955 - Help
Description:
At this point, African American leaders and preachers started to support this boycott. This was a huge help because more and more people started to support it, too. Right now, approximately 40,000 African Americans supported this boycott - the majority of the cities bus riders. This afternoon, black leaders came together to create the Montgomery Improvement Association (MIA). They selected Martin Luther King, a 26 year old pastor to be the leader of it.
