Causes:Originally, delegates from 12 states met up to revise the Articles of Confederation that were previously written in 1781. Even further back, in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was shown to the Continental Congress. This was written by Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Roger Sherman, Robert R. Livingston, and John Adams. This document brought up the American complaints towards their nation’s so-said standards of equality.
HI: After the Constitution, 3 major questions would be answered. These included the number of members each state would have in the House of Representatives, the number of electoral votes for each presidential election, and the taxes paid to the federal government.
