1 mai 1952 - Rosalind Franklin: The double helix
Description:
Franklin used a technique called x-ray crystallography in order to discover the 3D shape of molecules. Her work and experiments led to the discovery of the double helix shape of DNA.
Today she is infamously known for her "Photo 51," which was an x-ray diffraction image which gave crucial information about DNA and ultimately revealed it's shape.
