The Boston Tea Party was a revolt against taxes on essentials that Americans needed that Britain had put on for the citizens. Some men named the Sons of Liberty threw tea overboard a British ship in order to make a statement that America would not tolerate the way they were being taxed and treated. This event was one of the leading causes to The American Revolution.
