A few weeks after the success of Red Annihalation, the Cyberathlete Professional League was created. Featuring popular games such as Quake, the CPL looked to organize more competitive tournaments as well as offer players bigger prizepools which would reward them for being good at the games and give an incentive for people to get into competitive gaming.
