- Description: Written by Benjamin Franklin, it was filled with witty, insightful, and funny bits of observation and common sense advice (the saying, "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise," first appeared in this almanac). It was the most popular almanac in the colonies.
- Causes: Many publishers and writers became to be popular in america and this influenced many people to start creating opinions about certain topics and believe/ interpret things differently.
- Historical Impact: Because Franklin wrote the almanac, this was the first time a enlightened thinker began writing about their own points of view. This eventually led to religious separatism and two great awakenings.
