Description:
- Description: Navigation Acts of 1696 are passed by Parliament that limit all colonial trade to English-built vessels among other things.
- Causes: Mercantilism!! Colonies could only trade with britain, Colonies were taxed on some imports from britain, many colonists pirated objects to avoid the tax.
- Historical Impact: aimed primarily at the Dutch, required all trade between England and the colonies to be carried in English or colonial vessels, resulting in the Anglo-Dutch War in 1652.
