1 janv. 1811 - National Road
Description:
The first highway built entirely with federal funds. It became a 620-mile road that connected the Potomac and Ohio Rivers. This demonstrated the need and utility of interstate roads within the United States. Construction took a lot of resources and much of the environment had to be altered to make the road.
