Description:
In 50 B.C. Pompey's allies in the senate ordered Ceasar to give up command over his armies. They wanted to control Rome on their own. Ceasar refused, and led his trooops back toward Rome to confront the senate. Once he crossed into Italy, war broke out. The Pompy fled Italy, but Ceasar chased them for 2 years.
