The signing of the Treaty of London by the UK, the Kingdom of Belgium, and the United Kingdoms of the Netherlands, established the full independence of Belgium, and its perpetual neutrality.This also meant that Great Britain was obligated to defend the perpetual neutrality of Belgium.
