Description:
Hitler was convinced that Roehm, the SA leader was a threat to his leadership.
SS arrested and killed Roehm and SA leaders.
After the elimination of SA, the German army swore their allegiance to Hitler.
No opposition from with his ranks + only other powerful organisation left – the German Army loyal to him → increased his power → more control over internal affairs
