He was put into the army but then was pulled out and put into the wireless part of the army. He was stationed at the Eiffel tower and spent his extra time doing research. He said that electrons have wave/particle duality. He also said that all matter has wave properties. This is really important when it comes to the idea that electrons are able to give off light.
