8 mai 1803 - Expedition of Lewis and Clark 1803
Description:
Dictated by Jefferson, Lewis and Clark explored the new lands all the way to the Pacific. Deploying scientists to explore the territory indicated the genuine interest and eagerness of the United States to establish their newly acquired western lands. The exploration will tell if the territory is inhabitable and ready for establishment, which if and when it is, would increase the size of America and grow its power. Without this event, the United States would not know if their new territory is fit for settlement, and would not have expanded as quickly, which would make for a less successful country.
