Description:
Due to heavy bombing in British cities, many civilians were losing their homes and jobs. These routine bombings also lead to many civilians being killed. The British government decided to keep the children safe by sending them to foreign countries, one of these countries was Canada. During the war, Canada took in over 6000 British children to keep them away from the chaos in Britain.
