The Coercive Acts of 1774 were a series of laws set forth by parliament as a punishment for the Boston Tea Party. The laws included: the Boston Port Act, Massachusetts Government Act, Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act. The acts, instead of discouraging the colonists, encouraged them to continue to rebel.
