Description:
Largest slave rebellion in the British mainland colonies happen in South-Carolina in 1739. It is called Stono rebellion because it happen next to Stono River.60 people died in the Rebellion and it consequense from that large numbers of new slaves were brought to the colony. Rebellion got authorities to reduce provocations for rebellions, example to punish maters who used brutal punishments for slaves. Authorities also tightened their control over enslaved people.
