Description:
1A Stator Cooling Pump seal failure. Personnel was dispatched to Stator Cooling due to Control Room receiving Stator Cooling Water Tank High/Low alarm. Personnel reported tank level low, seal failure on 1A Stator Cooling Pump, and smoke in the area of stator cooling. Pumps were swapped, 1B placed in service, 1A pump removed from service, and the 1A suction valve closed to stop leak. Level raised in stator cooling tank and alarm cleared. Personnel reported that the 1A pump temperature was excessive and the smoke in the area was coming from 1A stator cooling pump seal failure and the high temperature of pump. Repair seal failure as well as evaluate effects of high temperature. CR10265050
