Description:

The Vikings attacked a monastery on a small island called Lindisfarne. The Vikings knew the monastery was there and they planned on stealing all of the riches. They did indeed do what they set out to do while destroying many religious relics, and killings monks in horrific ways. This was not the first time Scandinavians had visited the British Isles this is the first time they had done a full blown attack.
