Made from one piece limestone, the Great Sphinx is an extremely famous monument in Egypt. It has the body of a lion and a headdress-wearing human face. The face is said to either be based on King Khafre or King Khufu.The Great Sphinx is one of Egypt’s greatest and impressive monument. It was carved from one large piece of limestone by men equipped with only stone hammers and copper chisel.
