Description:

The raid on Lindisfarne was a massacre. This was the vikings first major raid. the vikings were probably not as technologically advanced at the time so they probably only had spears, knifes, swords and axes. The odd viking might have had a shield but they probably did not have chain mail. the viking also sailed to Lindisfarne on long ships so the vikings must have had tools to build the long ships. the vikings at this point probably only used full iron swords.
