American brothers, Orville and Wilbur Wright, build the first successful airplane in 1903. Their biplane, Flyer I, flies for 850 feet.British pilots, Alcock and Brown, make the first
non-stop flight across the Atlantic in 1919. Meanwhile, European inventors design the first
helicopters. By this time, there are regular flights
carrying passengers and cargo all around the
world.
