bitartrate extended-release tablets), an extended-
release (ER) opioid analgesic to treat pain severe
enough to require daily, around-the-clock, long-
term opioid treatment for which alternative
treatment options are inadequate. Vantrela ER is
the ninth ER opioid analgesic to be approved with
labeling describing the product’s abuse-deterrent
properties consistent with the FDA’s 2015
guidance for industry, Abuse-Deterrent Opioids –
