1 janv. 1957 - plate reverb invented
Description:
Plate reverb was one of the first attempts of artificial reverberation, it was invented by a German company called EMT in 1957. This method of artificial reverberation involved a huge metal plate, where you would put a speaker on one side (where the sound would come from) then across the other side you had a pick up and a microphone. The sound coming from the speaker would vibrate the metal sheet and then that would be recorded by the microphone and pickup, it did very close to genuine sound reverberation.
