Description:
Expili Kpili, a local medecine man, created a spell called Tongatonga that allegedly protected his people from Western bullets. In 1904 when King Kwet aPe was late to a meeting with the Belgins who colonized them, was thrown in jail. After being released he talked to Expili about giving his people the tongatonga, which he did. In Novemeber the Kings people revolted but by Frebruary they surrendered after many dying due to the lack of success of the tongatonga.Ajouté au bande de temps:
