We begin the 2018 school year --- I have a high schooler and a middle schooler.

We have just finished up summer, competitive softball and are ramping up for fall ball.

My oldest is playing high school basketball and just finished up her first high school summer season.

We just got back from vacation in Florida. We vacationed with our dear friends who had to leave because of a parent death. We all mourned Roger.

We began a new year at McLain with a new leader and leadership structure. Gavan Goodrich has been assigned to us as our new principal, Gayle has been demoted to Dean of Students, Andrew Freza, Leilani Tanner, and Brandon Hall are our new APs.

We moved. Again. Our third move in four years. I forgot to mention these moves.

We sold our house in Colorado in 2015 because we had been double mortgaged for three years (we own a home in Illinois and it had been vacant for three years). We used the money from the sale to pay off debt. We rented an apartment for two years in Denver, and just moved to Highlands Ranch.
