1. Abolition of Cohong Guild- No limits on who the West can trade with
2. Treaty Ports- 5 ports opened up on Chinese coast
3. Extra-territoriality- every treaty port has areas under western control and chinese law does not apply/ only western law applies
4. Most Favored Nation- Accepting that any trade treaty w/o another country applies to all other countries

-Missionaries Objective = access to Interior China
