Description:

In the election of 1848, slavery was a big topic. Many were going for antislavery. General Zachary Talor was nominated by the Whings to run for presidency, he was a Louisiana slave owner joining the defense of slavery. Taylor won a majority in the electoral college. In the end, his denferce caused the public to openly join a side playing a part in the Civil War.
