Description:
West Virginia (WV) joins the US as the 16th slave state and the 35th state overall. They join the Union already with a plan of gradual emancipation, and 8 months later completely abolish slavery, becoming the 20th free state. They are the last slave state to join the US.Ajouté au bande de temps:
